Surf North Malé atoll booking a cabin on Ocean Explorer
For those who can't commit to a group much time in advance and need a garantied departure even a few days before flying to Malé, Ocean Explorer is the answer. Come and leave any time, any date.
TRIP INFO
Dates : from June 10 to November, 5th 2012
Surf : North Malé surfspots (cf map)depending on wind / swell / crowd conditions, sometimes South Malé.
Arrival, departure : any day, anytime during the day (arrivals at night needs to wait for dawn)
Capacity : 8 cabins onboard for 16 surfers max + surfguide
Actually, there is usually 10-12 surfers onboard.
The owner is Andres Crespo, a spanish surfer who lives onboard, which helps a lot to adapt surfing sessions and spot choice.
Cost : Twin beds aircon cabin to be shared, 135 USD per day including GST.
Includes : all meals & snacks, surf transfers with dhoni or dingy (8 surfers de 40 Hp), bed in double cabin, surfguide, GST (6%) et daily tax (8 USD).
Does not include : airport transfers (see below), cans (2 USD), beers (4 USD), alcohols, tips (5 USD per day if happy), 3G key internet access (3 USD for 30min)
Airport transfer : to / from the boat by private dhoni (takes 1 to 2h depending on boat positionning) :
1 PAX = 200 USD r/t
2 PAX = 100 USD r/t
3 PAX = 75 USD r/t
4 PAX and more = 65 USD r/t
Promotion : book 11 days and pay for 10 days, if booked before May31, 2012.
Booking conditions :
More than 90 days before departure : 50% booking, 50% 30days after departure
Less than 90 days before departure : 100% at booking.
